捷克艺术家Eva Kotátková个展“They Are Coming”近日在柏林Meyer Riegger画廊开幕。

人体的轮廓及其基于精神和灵魂的可能性、以及来自各种制度与其它社会结构的外部影响是Eva Kotátková的作品中反复出现的主题。这位艺术家检验了对肉体内部与外部的公式化的方式，以及那些我们认为属于身体的东西——它的界限和外在化。接着她检验了内与外之间的不完整性、不连续性，同时还提出了这样的问题：是什么让我们成为人类并且对其进行感受？什么样的结构和系统会阻止我们这样做？而又是什么成就了我们本身——在不带虚构或实际的限制下？自我表达的潜在可能是对Eva Kotátková的艺术实践提供了答案的一个方面。Eva Kotátková通过素描、摄影、拼贴、装置及现场表演等媒介探索了心理与生理限制的典型情况，紧随其后的通常还有系统化的思维与个人表达的可能性（这两者是截然相反的）。对肉体所做的有机的自我概念是Eva Kotátková的作品的主题，同时也将身体描述为了一种假体、一个断片。Eva Kotátková将她的观点嵌入到了这样一个结构中：它以将轮廓强调为包含与排斥的同义词为基础。
Eva Kotátková在自己的作品里关注了交流的替代方式，这通过动作、声音、手势与符号语言等非言语交流表达了出来。在这场展览中，艺术家为画廊的橱窗拉起了一张黑色的幕布。幕布在某些地方被剪掉了，以此给不同的身体部位穿过幕布留出了空间。这样一来，观众通过橱窗——或者说舞台就只能看到表演者的部分身体；这些各自独立的身体也近乎直观地进入了与彼此的对话中。
