群展“肖像画的政治”（The Politics of Portraiture ）日前在旧金山Jessica Silverman画廊举行。

在社交媒体的时代，当表现我们的“自我”这一需求已经演变成一种日常状态时，肖像画也发生了改变。这一类型始终包含了艺术家与观众之间的一种张力，然而他们的对话在涉及到快速变化的新艺术与媒介技术的状态时也在不断地改变。正如Pamela Lee所写的那样，身份已经变成了一种“半成品，一个在其中主观性成为了各种外部用途的混合物的建筑区”。利用油画、摄影、全息摄影作品、现成物品以及3D打印雕塑，参展艺术家探索了呈现出来的身份与虚拟身份之间的分裂，技术与力量之间的分裂，主观性与社会关系之间的分裂。
