千高原艺术空间荣幸地宣布,将于2014年8月9日推出艺术家小组陈建军+曹明皓历时四年的在地艺术实践计划“平行悬置”

“平行悬置”是集近几年主要专注于在地社会的艺术实践展览计划,其实践与工作策略常会在项目地先进行前期田野与交流访谈,随后多以社会互动、介入性作品形式展开创作和研究,此次展览包含了2010年参与发起合作性艺术项目「昆山在造」、2012年参与策划介入性研究项目「梁山路径」、2014年策划互动计划「顶楼之眼」、以及2014年进行的「水系环境艺术计划」等。以三地的项目为基础,提出自己新的问题意识“平行悬置”,其意义在于项目的实践与延展中看到其它场域“乡村、郊区、城中村”不断在城市化中演变其身份的时间过程,而在这个时间过程中被遮蔽的事物将演变为各种问题发生在当下,简单的应对思维无法面对被悬置的幽灵似的历史问题,更无法考量当下现实。就此该问题意识的提出与文本结构的产生,在于具体交点是针对当下“家长式”的理性规划导致的地方景观化社会,以及其中的特定性被排除的批判关切。并反思“国际”都市消解了城市扩张与乡村间的冲突,以不断的扩散与繁殖,带来了许多潜在的隐匿在社会结构的深处平行悬置(历史、当下、在地等)而不被看见的问题。

展览除了去思考具体的作品部分呈现能与观众形成可能的对话关系外,还将从邀请的各领域研究者/实践者针对存在于项目中的诸多问题,构建系列座谈议题,与观众进行深入的对话,促成公共话语的产生及延续的回应行动。

A Thousand Plateaus Art Space is pleased to announce the opening of the four-year local art practice project Parallel Suspension by the artist group Chen Jianjun + Cao Minghao, as well as the first edition of annual group exhibition project Summer Discovery 2014 on August 9th.

Parallel Suspension is an exhibition project gathering the art programs on the local society during the last few years. Its practice and work strategy always begin from field communication and interviews, and does creations and researches in the way of society interaction and intervention. This exhibition includes the cooperative art project Village Politics Being Watched launched in 2010, the art-involved project A New Way to Explore Liangshan Village curated in 2012, interactive project Gaze from the Top Floor curated in 2014, and River Environmental Art Project undertaken in 2014. Basing on the events between the three places, the new question consciousness Parallel Suspension has been raised. Its to see the time course of other scenes countryside, suburbs and urban villages changing their identities in the practices and extensions of the project. During this process, the hidden factors get evolved into all current problems, to deprive the simple coping thinking of the ability of facing the suspended and haunting historical problems, or to think about the current reality. Thus the question consciousness and text structure can be raised from the local landscape society which was caused by the current paternalistic rational planning, as well as the critical concern without any specificity. We also have to rethink, the [international] urban have eliminated the conflicts between urban expansion and the villages. The constant expansion and reproduction brings many potential problems hidden deep in the social structure, hung parallelly and ignored.

Except for a possible dialogic relationship between the specific artwork representation and the viewers, there will also be researchers and practitioners in all areas invited, a series of discussion topics organized and in-depth dialogues conducted, contributing to the generation of public discourse and the continuation of response.



曹明浩,艺术家,(2001-2005)就读于吉林艺术学院并获得文学学士,2009年至今在大学担任艺术专业客座讲师,2009年发起成都艺术实践组织「实验工作坊」,目前生活和工作于中国成都。

主要专注于“社会参与式艺术”(SociallyEngagedArt)实践,曾于2010年参与发起合作性艺术项目「昆山在造」、2012年参与策划介入性研究项目「梁山路径」、2014年策划互动计划「顶楼之眼」。其合作性艺术项目「昆山在造」曾于2013年参与上海外滩美术馆HUGO BOSS 亚洲艺术大奖:2013年教育计划「在建/重建,作为社会实践的“想象”:亚洲艺术家社会性艺术实践项目」及2012年参与在意大利罗马当代艺术馆MACRO/博洛尼亚的小剧场“Teatro Si”举办的“跨欧洲盛会(Transeuropa Festival)”中欧艺术交流活动。作品亦曾于广州时代美术馆、北京尤伦斯当代艺术中心(UCCA)、重庆器·Haus 空间、成都A4当代艺术中心、成都千高原艺术空间﹑成都四川大学美术馆等机构中展出。作品相关评论、出版曾出现在《城市中国》、《典藏》国际版、《ON | OFF 中国当代艺术自我组织:2002-2012》、《艺术界》等刊物。

此外,也曾受邀参与多个机构(大学/美术馆/艺术中心等)的论坛﹑座谈和工作坊等相关活动。

Cao Minghao

Artist, received her bachelor degree of Art in Jilin College of the Arts in 2005. Since 2009, she has been teaching art as a visiting lecturer. In 2009, she initiated Chengdu artistic practice organization “ArtPraxis”. Currently living and working in Chengdu, China.

She mainly focuses on Socially Engaged Art, and has initiated the collaborative art project Village Politics Being Watched (2010), art-involved projectA New Way to Explore Liangshan Village (2012) and planned interaction program Gazing from the Top Floor. Her collaborative art project Village Politics Being Watched has won HUGO BOSS Asia Art Award for Emerging Chinese Artists: 2013 Educational Project Underconstruction and Reconctruction and has participated in Transeuropa Festivain MACRO, Rome and the Bologna's Little Theatre Teatro Si. Her works have been presented in Times Museum (Guangzhou), UCCA (Beijing), OrganHaus (Chongqing), A4 Contemporary Art Center (Chengdu), A Thousand Plateaus Art Space (Chengdu), Sichuan University Art Museum (Chengdu), etc.. Her works related comments have been published in Urban China, RTCO Journal, ON | OFF: Collective Practice in China 2002-2012, Leap, etc..

Besides, she has also been invited to the forums, lectures, workshops, etc. by many institutions (universities/ museums/ art centers) .

Chen Jianjun

千高原艺术空间荣幸地宣布,将于2014年8月9日推出首届年度群展项目“夏纪 2014”。

千高原艺术空间一直注重展示和推出成长中的有突出才能和价值的艺术家的作品和项目,并发现和推动新的有创造力的艺术家。从今年开始,我们将每年在夏季举办的群展项目命名为“夏纪”,以平行展览的形式,呈现艺术家们新的实验作品和探索项目。

夏季,是各类物种生命活动旺盛的季节,是一年四季中第一个收获的季节,也常常用来形容人生的灿烂季节。“夏纪 2014”选择呈现艺术家何伟、何意达、黎朗、萧文杰、杨心广、叶凌瀚共六位年轻艺术家富于创造力而又极具差异化的作品,作品形式涵盖了绘画、装置、动画和现场项目。这些作品和项目有的展现了事业初期艺术家的第一阶段的实验成果,有的展现了已然职业生涯迈进途中的艺术家的新的推进。

六位艺术家的作品并没有艺术脉络或者内容上的联系,他们唯一的共同点在于,都以非常独立和自觉的方式,在各自的领域中不断探索,呈现出的阶段成果令人更加期待他们的未来。由此,他们组成了一个具有无限活力的平行群体。实际上,他们只是中国当代艺术的未来可能的一个缩影,也只是“夏纪”项目的开始。从艺术发展的脉络来看,现成的,可追随的潮流已经消失,当代艺术进入了个体探索的时代。在这样的时期,艺术家必须具备信心和勇气,才能在自己的艺术道路中找到前所未有的方向;而只有开放的姿态,和严谨的态度,才能帮助我们发现这些艺术家,并发现中国艺术的未来。

“夏纪”是在夏天的记录,季节周而复始,生生不息,在点滴细节中蕴藏着力量和智慧。今天,中国的文化在重新尝试从源头处汲取力量,因此,“夏纪”也许还在勾勒着一幅更加美好而广阔的图景。

A Thousand Plateaus Art Space is always devoting itself to present and introduce works and projects of emerging artists who have outstanding talent and distinct value, and to discover and promote new creative artists. From this year, we are going to name the group exhibition project in the summer of each year as Summer Discovery. In the way of parallel exhibition, it will present the artists new experimental works and exploratory projects.

Summer is the season of all species with the most vigorous life force, is the first harvest time throughout the year. Moreover, its always been used to describe the splendid season of life. In Summer Discovery 2014, we select the creative and unique works of six young artists including He Wei, He Yida, Li Lang, Xiao Wenjie, Yang Xinguang and Ye Linghan, work media include painting, installation, animation and on-site project. Among these works and projects, some have presented the experimental results of their early stage, while some other have presented the fresh impetus in their career.

There is no relationship in art context or content between the six artists, except for the continued exploration, which is extremely unique and conscious. The presented phased fruit make us expect more of their future. Thus, they formed a parallel group full of vitality. Actually, they are just a possible epitome of the future of Chinese contemporary art, or a beginning of Summer Discovery project. From an art development perspective of view, theres no existing tide any more for us to follow, contemporary art have enter the age of individual discovery. At this time, artists can not find their own art directions without confidence or courage. At the same time, only with open approach and rigorous attitude can we find these artists, or the future of Chinese art.

Summer Discovery is the summer record. Seasons are going round and round endlessly, with energy and wisdom in the details. In nowadays, Chinas culture is re-trying to take strength from the source. Therefore, maybe Summer Discovery is also outlining a nicer and broader view.
