这是印度艺术家尼丽玛·谢克的首度艺术馆个展,该艺术家曾参加2010年西天中土策划的展览《时·地·戏:印中当代艺术》,作品具有惊人魅力、绘画迷人精湛,同时又深深嵌入了印巴分治和克什米尔的长久创伤。难以相信惊人是她这位七十几岁艺术家的首次个展!
展览内容可以参考芝加哥艺术学院官方网站。此次展览的是她在2003-2010年间创作的七幅克什米尔历史长卷,标题取自克什米尔裔美国诗人Agha Shahid Ali的诗句: “I See Kashmir from New Delhi at Midnight”(我在午夜的新德里看见克什米尔)。
