我们很荣幸的宣布石至莹在空白空间北京的第二个个展“过去与未来之间”将在2012年6月23日开幕，即将展出她在过去一年中最新的油画和水彩作品。
迄今为止，石至莹在绘画中从未展现过人类的荣耀，也不曾直接触及人间的疾苦，她总在用深沉的黑白色调的语言再现周遭世界中的无言之物：一望无际的海平面、一幅妄自生长的野草、广袤的岩石荒原……这样一个没有现实轰鸣的世界，却使得观者感应到冥冥之中的那股自明力量。对于心灵而言，石至莹的绘画是对存在本身的直觉回应，是一种具象化的绵延记忆，她让观者再次聆听到人类从远古传来的终极疑问。
本次展览将展示石至莹最新题材的画作《100尊菩萨》与《玛尼堆》等作品，无论是前者作为石至莹日常功课——她每天坚持描绘一幅菩萨像；还是后者的藏族人因祈祷而日积月累形成的玛尼堆，都是建筑于心灵的某种仪式。身处在一个流变的世界中，物质性的现象都会被时间缓慢地、悄无声息地侵蚀、崩析与吞没，但对于心灵的言辞与行为，却能不朽的存在于过去与未来之间。
石至莹1979 生于上海，2005于上海大学艺术学院油画系获得硕士，现工作生活于上海。
WHITE SPACE BEIJING is pleased toannounce the opening of the soloexhibition “Between Past and Future” by artist Shi Zhiying on June 23, 2012. Her latest oil andwater color works during last year will be presented.
Asyet, Shi Zhiying has never directly represented the glories or sufferings ofhuman beings. She repeatedly employs profound black and white tone toillustrate and recall the silent objects in the world around – a vast expanseof sea, wild grassland, and immense moorland of rocks... The viewers, however,in such a quiet world without the sound and fury of reality, can feel the self-explanatorypower in the unseen world. Psychologically speaking, Shi Zhiying’s painting isan instinctive reaction to “existence”; it is a prolonged and visualizedmemory. She enables the viewers to hear the ultimate question of people fromancient times.
The exhibition “Between Past and Future” willpresent her latest works, including “100 Figures of Bodhisattva” and“Mani Stone”. Both the former, which wascreated as Shi Zhiying’s daily homework – she kept on drawing one figure of Bodhisattva each day,and the later, the mani stone which was accumulated by the Tibetan prayersduring a very very long time, were certain kinds of ceremonies built in one’ssoul. In an ever-changing world, all the material phenomena are destined to be eroded,corrupted and swallowed by time, slowly, without being noticed. While thestatement and action to one’s soul can exist in between the past and thefuture, immortally.
Bornin Shanghai in1979, Shi Zhiying graduated fromthe Fine Arts College of Shanghai University with a Master Degree of OilPainting in 2005. She currently lives and works in Shanghai.
