Flesh color, so-called“novice’s easy color”, in oil painting represents a certain incorrect taste, itis convenient, easy to obtain and seems very cheap. At the opposite, Chinesetraditional “ink” is often exaggeratedly given a lot of meanings and today itsoriginal greatness was destroyed in over exploitation. As chemical substancesthat have passively participated to cultural values judgments, “flesh” and “ink”colors meet similar awkwardness and coldness in the art system, revealing aclassic relation: when facing such equivocal substances objects, one cannothelp to ask: are you still living there? The artist attemptsto dig new values and interesting matters in these over explained, unsettled, correct or incorrect, generally considered as tasteless or discarded concepts. This exhibitionwill be composed of two parts, the second part will be presented later thisyear.
