集体主义是感觉自己是集体中的一分子，集体的概念包括家庭、同事圈、部落、一个民族。集体主义者通常是以集体主义准则来行事。个人主义者通常以自己的兴趣、需要、政治观点和哲学来行事。在这种展览中，我们想探讨这两个范畴之间的紧张关系并看看今天集体主义和个人主义意味着什么。
以下问题帮助各位解读这个主题：
1.个人需要对社会尽多少义务？
2.我们应该在多大程度上被这个社会和其他个体所影响？
3. 个人主义是自私的一种形式吗？
4. 当今的集体主义的有价值形式是哪些？
5.集体主义可以带给个人一些什么？
6. 你会将什么类型的行为定义为集体主义？
7.我们越多人变成独立的个体，我们就会越相像，这是真的吗？
8. 人类和集体或是团体是密不可分的吗？

Theme: Collectivism vs. Individualism
Deadline for proposals July 10.
Show Date: August 6
Material Fees: small budget, depends on the project
Deadline for finished artworks: July 30
Note: Given the short deadline most artists will have to use existing works.
Theme:
Collectivism is the feeling of being part of a whole, be it a family, a network of co-workers, a tribe, or a nation. People in a collective usually behave according to the norms of a group. Individuals behave according to their own interests, needs, political views and philosophies. In this show, we would like to explore the tensions between these two categories and look at what collectivism and individualism means today.
Questions To inspire you in interpreting this theme:
1. How much of a debt does the individual owe to society?
2. How much should we let ourselves be affected by the views of society and of other individuals?
3. Is individualism a form of selfishness?
4. What are useful forms of collective living today?
5. What can the collective bring to the individual?
6. What kinds of behavior would you define as collective?
7. Is it true that the more we become individuals the more we are the same?
8. Is man “hard-wired” to be in a collective or group?
9. Are perhaps the only true individuals those who are so different from society that they are branded as strange or “insane”?
10. Does collectivism create a sense of togetherness or a sense of alienation?
