主题阐释
2008年以来的全球金融危机对艺术市场来到了严重的冲击，同时，中国的坚持实验与创作的艺术家也开始寻求市场逻辑之外的创作与展览的可能性。“EUREKAAAA时态•当代艺术交流展”即是艺术家在这一认识基础上提出来的展览命题。“EUREKAAAA时态”不是一个严格意义上的学术命题，而是意在表述当今艺术与艺术家的生存状态，也希望以一种轻松、自由的展览方式呈现艺术家创作的丰富性与灵活性，从而使人们的视线转移到“艺术品如何生成”的基本问题上。
“EUREKA！”是阿基米德意外地发现了测定国王皇冠的黄金纯度的方法后的大声喊的词语，意为“我找到了”或“我发现了”。艺术史让我们知道，艺术的发展与演变因循某种规律，这种规律体现的是一种逻辑关系。也就是说，每个阶段的艺术现象总有其前置逻辑，这是一种必然性。而对于大多数艺术家来说，艺术创作固然遵循着某种必然性，但是其最有价值的部分不在于明确无误的必然性，而在于对人类意识未知领域的一次又一次的探索，一次又一次地冒险，并且，每次成功的探索与冒险总是发生在不经意间，像是一次意外，一次偶然。正是这种“不经意”、“意外”与“偶然”的发现才让“观看”获得像阿基米德一样的惊喜。因此，此次非常重视呈现艺术家“发现”的过程——作品的实验性、方案性、非正式性与未完成感。这种“过程性”在某种意义上也是艺术家所处的一种时态：过去或现在的状态。展览采用这样的命题与形式，其目的在于向观者呈现艺术家思考的另一种思考维度与创作过程，更在于为艺术家之间的交流搭建一个平台，在某种意义上，这也是非完全公开的交流展览。
