第四届迪拜艺术博览会(Art Dubai)将在明年的3月17-20日期间举行，第三届的圆满成功不知这一届能否再现？
今年中东地区的当代艺术市场可谓是市场低迷中的一朵奇葩，不仅被世界上最大的拍卖行苏富比佳士得所关注，连一向低调不露锋芒的法国拍卖行Artcurial也忍不住探手有了动作。

中国当代艺术市场还未见起色，阿拉伯地区的当代艺术已悄悄崛起，上个月27日的佳士得国际现当代艺术拍卖会，据该场拍卖主管William Lawrie透露，此次拍卖成交额比迪拜的春拍高出50%，佳士得中东地区的执行总监Michael Jeha表示：“尽管去年全球经济受到打击，但世界对中东地区艺术的兴趣还在增加，中东艺术品的价格也在上升。”

一方面是因为阿拉伯艺术家的活跃度上升，另一方面也是因为迪拜向来是石油大亨与富豪云集的地方，在经济危机的全球环境下，中东地区的“抗寒”能力比其他地区要强。

今年的盛会，像欧洲地区的Frieze艺术博览会(Frieze Art Fair)和FIAC(巴黎国际当代艺博会)，虽然新闻报道大都是正面消息，但是艺术界人士心知肚明，这是在市场低迷情况下的“圆满落幕”，即使鼓掌，也是鼓励的成分比赞扬多。

作为亚洲地区最年轻的博览会之一，迪拜艺术博览会自举办以来，一直被媒体紧紧关注，尽管每次得到的评价褒贬不一，但是毋庸置疑，它已逐渐成为中东地区最重要的博览会。去年的迪拜艺术博览会有超过14,000人次的游客记录，来自中东，南亚地区的这些观众里，有策展人，博物馆高层，艺术家，80家博物馆群体以及300多名国际新闻记者。2010年的迪拜可以说是对整个中东地区的当代艺术实践而言，已成为一个决定性的平台。

聚焦2010年艺术迪拜，将包括著名的全球艺术论坛(Global Art Forum)，第二届Abraaj Capital艺术奖;由国际著名珠宝商梵克·雅宝(Van Cleef & Arpels)策划的具有博物馆展览水平的“时光之诗”(“The Poetry of Time”)艺术展览；艺术公园(Art Park)和Contemparabia 2010，此外，还邀请了非营利艺术组织Bidoun项目策划特别节目来强调地区合作的重要性。
