一年一度的英国当代艺术大奖特纳艺术奖（Turner Prize）再度拉开序幕，与往年相同，有希望获奖的艺术家作品在伦敦的泰特美术馆（Tate Britain）开展。
英国的特纳艺术奖设立于1984年，以英国绘画泰斗威廉·特纳（William Turner）命名，今年已经是特纳艺术奖走过的第25个年头。
虽然自创办之初，该奖就饱受争议，然而特纳艺术奖仍被广泛誉为欧洲视觉艺术领域最重要、最有声望的奖项。
今年角逐25,000英镑大奖的艺术家包括露西·斯卡尔（Lucy Skaer）、恩里克·大卫（Enrico David）、罗杰·西奥恩斯（Roger Hiorns）和理查德·怀特（Richard Wright）。
此次在泰特美术馆展出的作品大多以装置作品为主，却都带有手工劳动的痕迹。虽然对观众来说，有些作品实在是费解难懂、晦涩不堪，但却仍然给人启迪、引人深思。
作品介绍
女艺术家露西·斯卡尔的作品是一组被称为“黑色字母”的雕塑和一尊抹香鲸头骨的装置作品。
恩里克·大卫毕业于伦敦圣马丁艺术学院，他的作品让人看起来感到滑稽怪诞。这位意大利艺术家将男同性恋明星的脸制作成“蛋头博士”（Egg men）的样子，而支撑的却是可以前后摇曳的摇椅腿。
最终赢家的热门人选罗杰·西奥恩斯展出的作品材料出自飞机残骸，当观众发现巨大的机器也可以变成如此稀碎的尘埃时，一定会感到无比震撼。
理查德·怀特的作品是此次展览中少有的平面作品，他花了三个星期的时间才完成了布展。他的“金色叶子绘画”（golden-leaf drawings）被泰特美术馆评为“迄今为止最复杂最有野心作品”。
此次展览的助理策展人海伦·丽特（Helen Little）评价，今年展出的作品乍看来都很美丽，而更重要的是除了审美，它们还将为观众带来惊喜和思考，相信每位来美术馆参观的观众都将不虚此行。
该展览从10月6日起开放，持续到明年1月3日。今年的特纳奖最终花落谁家将于12月7日公布于众。
