Qiu Zhijie is one of the most active experimental artists and curators based in Beijing。He is known for his calligraphy, photography and video-installations。The most important exhibition he has curated was: Post-sense Sensibility,1999/Family?2000/Spree,2001。
邱志杰：居住在北京的中国艺术家兼策展人。
邱的父系祖先在西晋永嘉八年（公元314年）由中国中原--河南商丘地区迁入福建，在十九世纪他们曾在缅甸生活了三代人。其祖母有八分之一的南洋婆罗洲（Borneo）血统。信仰佛教。
邱的母系祖先在十九世纪中叶由江苏宜兴迁入福建，信仰基督教。
邱本人1969年生于福建，无宗教信仰。
Qiu’s patrilineal ancestors moved to Fujian from the central part of China during the Jing dynasty, in the year 314 AD。For generations they lived in Burma until the middle of 19th century. His grandmother traced one-eighth of her bloodline to Borneo, Indonesia. Their family believed in traditional Mahayana Buddhism.
Qiu’s maternal ancestors moved to Fujian from Jiangsu province in 19th century. They are Christian.
Qiu himself was born in 1969 in China’s Fujian Province。
本活动征求一位国外艺术家在藏酷与邱志杰共同完成《混血》计划。应征艺术家应具备如下条件：
1,不限性别、年龄、种族、国籍和艺术教育背景，均可应征。
2,应征艺术家须与邱同样为O型血，并须提供由正式医院出具的血检报告证明其血液健康。
3,应征艺术家须提供其种族构成的历史资料。
This project will recruit a foreign artist. The participant should meet the following criteria:
1. Artists of either gender, any age, race or nationality can apply.
2. The Participant should have the same blood type as Qiu: O. He or she should show documents from the hospital prove that his/her blood has been tested and is healthy.
3. The participant should submit documents detailing the composition of his or her bloodline and the ancestory of his or her family.
《混血》计划内容：
1,邀请一位应征的国外艺术家来北京，与邱各抽取200cc鲜血，输入对方体内。
2,血液在体内混合后再次抽出，作为材料用于创作作品。数量根据需要决定。
3,根据讨论，双方可自愿使用混合过的血液各自完成作品或进行合作。
4,该计划中创作的作品将在藏酷新媒体艺术空间展出，展期一个月。
The details of Mixed-Blood Project:
1,A foreign artist will be invited to Beijing to work together with Qiu. They will draw 200cc. of blood from each of their own bodies and then exchange it via transfusion, the one with the other.
2, After the blood is mixed in each body, they will draw more and use this mixed-blood as material for new art work. The quantity of mixed-blood that will be drawn will depend upon the artistic demands.
3, They can create their works individually or cooperate.
4,All the art works created with this mixed-blood will be shown in Beijing’s LOFT New Media Art Space for one month.
