王凝慧于1983年生于西安，获得多伦多大学计算机科学和国际关系学士学位、加州艺术学院艺术学士学位和纽约大学艺术硕士学位。她是巴黎第一大学和柏林Villa Aurora的研究员，荣获多项加拿大艺术委员会的奖金资助。王凝慧曾在胶囊上海、Visitor Welcome Center、洛杉矶Human Resources、第18街艺术中心和洛杉矶当代展览会举办个展，也曾在香港K11艺术基金会、洛杉矶当代展览馆、军械库艺术中心（美国加州帕萨迪纳）、莫斯科现代艺术博物馆、泰康空间（北京）、洛杉矶FLAX基金会、汉默美术馆参与展览、展映和演出，并在尤伦斯当代艺术中心（北京）、新时线媒体艺术中心（上海）和上海种子计划进行讲座。王凝慧目前在上海纽约大学任客座助理教授，教授艺术。她是The Magic Hour的联合组织者，该项目为美国加州莫哈韦沙漠的一个户外展览平台。王凝慧常驻洛杉矶和上海。
