“找出路咯,”他回答我。眼前的陈拍岸跟一年半前在威廉斯堡的雪夜里被问得有些语塞的他看起来几无二致:发型、身材和牛仔裤,唯独跟我撞了鞋。但我对这个简短的回答心满意足,才放低担忧尝试写下这篇推荐。


难免的,你会被展览吓一跳,或者轻易地嗤之以鼻。那些被精心摆布的画作尽然不知所谓,那些被恶意撒落一地的书册亦翻起来不明所以。如果你跟我一样拥有一双污秽的眼睛,你会在某一个时刻发现抽象的画面里缘是个粉扑扑的屁股,抑或看着手握狼牙棒的火柴小人阴邪一笑。但如果你经受过一些难以启齿地荒谬,你兴许终究能够从寥寥几笔构成的画面和纯工业生产的作品表面穿过,惊奇地在满地的“艺术圣经”中觉察到另一个层面的荒谬来,或者用艺术家自己的话说,能够嗅到一阵迷人的猪油味。


明说了吧,他就是在以毒攻毒。他一如既往地看不惯周遭那些半知不解的高谈阔论和巧言令色的概念拼凑,极端地用孩子般的非黑即白来观看成年人的艺术世界。他为每个走进展览的人设置了一个不甚高明的陷阱,以此为喜剧的悲情内核设置潜在能够产生移情的舞台和角色,然后放手期待能够引发误解,或指望能够让人发觉自己所剩无几的对于艺术的怜悯之心。


那个雪夜里的陈拍岸还是在单调地发泄,他不屑也无法帮助我们走出知识崇拜的泥潭,那只爽了他自己。但他兴许终究意识到自己仍是这个腐朽行业的一部分,于是尝试去阅读,尝试“找出路”,却最终在合上书本之后选择继续嘲笑。与此前不同的是,他完成了从“纯然地嘲笑”到“制造笑果”最终到“明明好笑却笑不出来”的微妙过渡,也是他从嘲讽者到创造者到思考者的自然蜕变。创造更好的艺术是“为了艺术而艺术”仅存的有效辩解,我想这远比批判知识崇拜重要和有趣。

陈拍岸,1988年生于广东广州,2013年毕业于广州美术学院雕塑系,目前工作生活于广州。其创作媒介涉及数码绘画、图像、文本及影像等,尝试以艺术最恰当之形式呈现其日常观察与思考。

Chen Pai’an was born in Guangzhou, China, 1988. Graduated from sculpture department of Guangzhou Academy Of Fine Arts in 2013, currently based in Guangzhou. Chen usually works with digital painting, images, literature and video, attempts to present his daily observation and reflection in the most appropriate form of art.
