马秋莎摄影展——空间的盒子，盒子的空间

空间由于物体、建筑等事物的存在而被人们感知和认识。一般来说一个最基本概念的房间有四壁加天顶和地面构成就像一个盒子。盒子的六个面把大大小小的空间围在其中，中间摆放的各种东西，让空间变得丰富并产生独有的特点。尽管如此空间的概念还是很抽象。如果把某个空间的六个面连同上面摆放的东西同时展开，像个盒子一样展开，那原来包围在中间的空间还在吗？空间与形成空间的面、与空间内的物品之间是什么关系呢？马秋莎的作品用摄影的方式从视觉角度展开，探讨空间的形成、空间内外的关系。
Ma Qiusha’s Photography Exhibition —— Space Box, Box Space
The sense of a space is understood and recognized by the existence of objects, and architecture in relation to it. Commonly speaking, the most basic concept of a room consists of four walls, a roof and a floor area - in the structure of a box. The six surfaces of a box contain spaces of various volumes, and the various objects placed inside enrich and characterize the space. Nevertheless, the concept of the space remains abstract. If one were to unfold the six surfaces of a space along with the objects inside – like an opened up box, does the space enclosed still exist? What is the relationship among the space, the surfaces forming it, and the objects inside? Ma Qiusha’s work took the photographic approach to expand visually in discussing spatial formation, its relationship with its interior and exterior, visually telling different stories happened in different spaces.
