策展人侯瀚如介绍:
1963年生于广州,目前生活在巴黎和旧金山。
  
  美国旧金山艺术学院展览和公共项目总监,展览研究和博物馆学系系主任。国际知名艺术批评家和策展人。
  
  从1997年到2000年,由他策划的《运动中的城市》,调动了全球140多位艺术家,巡回到世界7个城市,引起国际艺术和建筑界的高度重视。他曾策划或参与策划的重要展览还包括南非的约翰内斯堡双年展、澳大利亚的亚太艺术三年展、韩国的光州双年展和土耳其伊斯坦布尔双年展,法国里昂双年展等.
  
  在世界最大的艺术舞台--威尼斯双年展上,侯瀚如更曾有过两度令人注目的发挥:1999年,策划了威尼斯双年展的法国馆;2003年,又作为威尼斯双年展主题展的策展人之一,策划了《紧急地带》单元,两次皆是在国际艺术界口碑极佳的大手笔。
  
  Hou Hanru (born in 1963 in Guangzhou former Canton, China) is a Chinese art curator and critic who lives in United States since 2006.
  
  
  Hou Hanru at the Istanbul Biennial in September 2007He received degrees from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and moved from China in 1990. He lived 16 years in France before movening to America in 1990. He works at San Francisco Art Institute as Director of Exhibitions and Public Program and Chair of Exhibition and Museum Studies. He has curated numerous exhibitions including "Cities On The Move" (1997 - 2000), Shanghai Biennial (2000), Gwangju Biennial (2002), Venice Biennale (French Pavilion, 1999, Z.O.U. -- Zone Of Urgency, 2003, Chinese Pavilion, 2007), Nuit Blanche (2004, Paris), the 2nd Guangzhou Triennial (2005), the 2nd Tirana Biennial (2005), the 10th Istanbul Biennial (2007), "Global Multitude" (Luxembourg 2007), "Trans(cient)City" (Luxembourg 2007), EV+A 2008 (Limerick), etc.
  
  He has been consultant in many international institutions including Walker Art Center (Minneapolis), Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (New York), Kumamoto Museum of Contemporary Art (Kumamoto, Japan), De Appel Foundation (Amsterdam) etc. and served in juries of many international awards including the Hugo Boss Prize (Guggenheim Museum), Chinese Contemporary Art Award (Beijing), Ars Fennica (Helsinki), etc.
  
  He has also taught and lectured in various educational institutions including Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten (Amsterdam), etc.
  
  A selection of his writings was published as "On The Mid-Ground" by Timezone 8, 2002.
