跟任何创作一样,玩笑可以有各种不同的体式和手法:创造不合理的逻辑、强调和夸张化某种内在的矛盾、透过风格化的叙事塑造出蹊跷的荒谬感、拗口或粗陋的文字游戏,等等。陈拍岸的玩笑始终暗含的一个内在矛盾在于他的艺术家身份和他所揶揄的艺术系统之间的互讽:一个用艺术家做艺术的艺术家。


陈拍岸的许多绘画都大条地勾勒着具有概念性和嘲讽意味的对象,这些图像指涉着消费社会中的个人、艺术家们和他们的创作,绘图行为的自我陶醉和荒诞等。展览里,这批图像被生产成各种常见的、正统的艺术媒介,像是裱框的纸面、拉扯整齐的油画布面、光滑透亮的亚克力——透过层层的形式和包装,层层地开着玩笑。

Like any creation, jokes can come in various styles and techniques: creating irrational logic, emphasizing and exaggerating certain internal contradictions, or creating a ridiculous, sloppy or rough word puzzle through stylized narratives, et. An internal contradiction that Chen's jokes always implied is the intertwining between his identity of an artist and the artistic system: an artist who makes art with artists.


Many of Chen's paintings outline the conceptual and ridiculous objects that refer to the individual, the artists and their creations in the consumer society, and their self-indulgence and absurdity in the drawing behavior. In the exhibition, these images were produced into a variety of common, orthodox art media, such as framed paper, pulled neatly painted canvas, smooth and translucent acrylic, through layers of form and packaging, jokes hidden within.

陈拍岸,1988年生于广东广州,2013年毕业于广州美术学院雕塑系,目前工作生活于广州。其创作媒介涉及数码绘画、图像、文本及影像等,尝试以艺术最恰当之形式呈现其日常观察与思考。

Chen Pai’anwas born in Guangzhou, China, 1988. Graduated from sculpture department of Guangzhou Academy Of Fine Arts in 2013, currently based in Guangzhou. Chen usually works with digital painting, images, literature and video, attempts to present his daily observation and reflection in the most appropriate form of art.
