我对林一无所知，但是我一直等待那些陌生的艺术不期而至，由于没有偏见和先入为主的习惯，因此可以对那些被阅读的作品保持沉默。这种沉默只有在一种情况下被打破，那就是，对象是绝对的陌生，作品要绝对的雷。然而林美雅的录像作品，让我无法沉默。

内容：《悲伤》几乎是一幅肖像画，画面的中心简单勾勒了一个女孩涂口红的过程。摄像机对准她的脸。显然，她内心正在痛苦挣扎。开始几秒钟是黑白的影像，慢慢地, 颜色渗入。随着背景音乐的起伏，她的表情也慢慢改变。在结尾处，鲜红的口红，还有滑落的一滴泪。她把口红擦掉，画面回归黑白。

Video “Sadness” is nearly a portrait painting in which the composition was simply settled by the girl, who sits in the middle of the image and wiping the lipstick. The camera is facing to her face in who is apparently struggling with the emotion crisis inside her mind. The video appears the first few second a dark black and white frame, and slowly the color was added into. By the ups and downs of the background music, the expression from her face was slowly changed. When the video comes near to the end. The lipstick turns into bloody red, and a tear fall down from her eye. She wiped off the red color, and the image turn into black and white again.
