世界最大规模的摄影节，法国阿尔勒摄影节将于2018年7月2日-9月23日在法国阿尔勒举行，每年摄影节都吸引全国各地以及世界各国的摄影师以及观光客汇集在这个法国南部小城。2018年阿尔勒国际摄影节已经举办了49届，摄影已然和阿尔勒分不开了，没有摄影的阿尔勒不是真正的阿尔勒。
2018年法国阿尔勒国际摄影节的主题是《回到未来》。
在群展单元，“Run Comrade, The Old World is Behind You”着眼于距离现在50年的1968年，那一年马丁·路德·金以及肯尼迪总统相继被暗杀，世界各地都发生了不同程度的暴乱，群展将呈现来自于警察部门的档案图片，这些图片从未公开过，是反应了当时社会情况以及反抗精神的珍贵资料。

群展“Augmented Humanity”单元则带来年轻艺术家作品，他们同时关注现在以及未来，搜集了很多档案存档，当AI技术日渐成熟的现在，我们将面临着一些新的问题，在这样的时代潮流中，我们又将何去何从。

2017年11月，Madame Figaro首次在集美·阿尔勒国际摄影季期间设置集美·阿尔勒-Madame Figaro女性摄影师奖，以表彰和鼓励中国本土的女性摄影师。这一奖项得到了开云集团“跃动她影”项目的支持。年轻摄影师郭盈光凭借《顺从的幸福》系列作品摘得首届大奖。2018年法国阿尔勒摄影节上，郭盈光的作品将在“The World As It Is”单元与法国观众见面。
