在张艳娜的绘画世界中，日常被定义成一种可望而不可及的朴实与宁静，即便是峰峦叠嶂的高山——她将生活裁剪成片段，重新编织成一个个断续延展的生命窗口。而触发艺术家绘画的动机则被她潜藏在展厅墙壁的空白之处，一段段没有“对象”的观看，将我们一次次切回到充满失落与焦虑的现实视域，而这也是张艳娜的绘画中所缺席的因。

张艳娜1975年出生于青岛，2000年毕业于天津美术学院油画系，现居住和工作在北京。

In Zhang Yanna’s world of paintings, everyday life-even the overlapping steep peaks is defined as unreachable purity and tranquillity. She tailors life into fragments, and re-braids them as a series of intermittently expanding windows of living beings. What motivates the artist to paint lurk in the blank areas of the exhibition space’s walls, and such viewings without “subjects” take us back to the realistic sights filled with depressions and anxieties – this is exactly the absent cause in Zhang Yanna’s paintings.

Zhang Yanna was born in Qingdao in 1975. She graduated from Oil Painting Department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 2000. She is now based in Beijing.
