群展“设备”(Äppärät)日前在马尔法BallroomMarfa画廊举行。
这场展览是关于哺乳动物的手及其所触碰、保留和使用的工具的。展览的名字来自于小说家Gary Shteyngart在他的近未来主义小说《SuperSad True Love Story》中所描写的一种虚构的、继iPhone之后出现的设备,展览本身则关注了劳动、游戏以及这两者之间不确定的区域;关注了身体与自身通过古老的和当代的技术的扩张;关注了强制力和死亡。
从石器时代到数字时代,从“前人类”到“后人类”,这场展览不仅暗示了工具的一段被忽视了的历史,同时也表明了这可以如何帮助我们去理解评论家Roland Barthes所定义的“物品的一种特定哲学。”
