High Winds
Space Local龙口空间将举办“大风”韩五洲个展，于2015年9月26日下午四点开幕，将持续至2015年11月8日。
韩五洲生于1980年，并没有受过正统的艺术学院教育，他工作和生活在北京的城乡结合部，极具中国社会发展特色的生活和环境都构成了他创作的基础。在持续数年的艺术实践中，他几乎都是使用生活中随手可得的材料如塑料、消耗品乃至废弃物来进行创作，作品以在个体在社会和环境中的体验为出发，试图由本能的情感延展至个体和其所在的群体、环境之间的关系，进而在其中提问、思考和表达。
韩五洲的作品涉及装置、录像和摄影，此次展览选择了韩五洲的四件作品，《风的外衣》、《沙发马车》、《国歌》和《盛开的白色塑料》。四件作品从不同的层面分别探讨了在现代社会中人的身体和心灵的归属感是在何处。发生在生活空间和居住环境的置换行为, 通过粗糙、廉价、废弃的材料, 作品在时代背景下透出混杂着本土特色的敏感、伤感和浪漫的气质。
Space Local will hold a solo exhibition “High Winds” for Han Wuzhou, which is will open at 4:00, p.m., on September 26, 2015.
Born in 1980, Han Wuzhou did not receive education from fine arts school. Over his years of creations, he has been setting out from personal experience amid the society and environment, and further on attempting to extend from intrinsic emotions to the relationship between the individual, mass and environment, raising questions, thinking and expressing.
This exhibition has selected Four works of Han Wuzhou: The Coat of Wind, Sofa Carriage, National Anthem and Blooming White Plastic.The Four works probe into how people place their heart and soul in the modernsociety in different perspectives, which describe the behavior of displacement happening in the living space and habitation environment through coarse andcheap materials. The penetrating sensitiveness, sentiment and romance in the works have well demonstrated the dispositions of the artist.
