杰夫·昆斯是战后最为重要，最具影响力，并且最受争议的艺术家之一。在他的艺术生涯中，昆斯先锋地使用现成品，测试前卫艺术与大众文化的边界，挑战工业生产的限制，改变了艺术家、名人以及全球化市场的关系。尽管获得各种成就，昆斯从未考虑过回顾展。该次展览将展出昆斯150多件从1978年至今的作品，首次最为全面地回顾艺术家的创作生涯。以时间顺序展示其最为标志性的作品以及最为重要的系列作品，观众得以全方位地了解昆斯的多元化创作。


这是昆斯在纽约的首次大型展览，也是惠特尼马歇·布劳耶大楼首次单独展示一名艺术家的作品。

展览随后将会在巴黎蓬皮杜现代美术馆（2014年11月26日—2015年4月27日）、毕尔巴鄂古根汉姆美术馆（2015年6月5日—9月27日）进行展出。
