导言：我为什么是我？有些人从孩提时代起就自然而然地思考着这个问题；另一些人在阅读过一些哲学著作后更深刻地思考这个问题；也有很多人根本没想过或者曾经想过后来又忘记了。从发展心理学的角度来说，三岁之前，当一个人开始意识到“我”和“他者”是不同的，就算开始面对这个问题了。法国精神分析学家拉康提出了著名的镜像理论，即“自我”是从他人反映的镜像中产生的。如果物质上客观的“我”是一堆物质“他者”的集合，精神上的“我”也是“他者”的镜像，哪里还有“我”？或者真如佛法所说，皆是幻象吗？若说有用无用，这个问题着实无用。若说意义，人活着要是能想通这个问题，可以说活得很有意义了。这次展览，我们把这个问题拆成三个主题，即“我是谁”、“我与其他人有什么区别”和“我为什么是我”，作品根据主题分别放置在空间的三个区域中。

Introduction: why I am I? Some people think about it naturally from childhood; Others think more deeply after reading some philosophical works; There are also a lot of people who never thought about it or thought about it and then forgot. From a developmental psychology perspective, before the age of three, when a person begins to realize that 'I' and 'the other' are different, he or she has begin to face the problem. French psychoanalyst Lacan put forward the famous mirror theory, that the 'self' is produced from the mirror image of others. If the material objective 'I' is a collection of material 'others', and the spiritual 'I' is the mirror image of 'others', where is the 'I'? Or is it all illusion, as the dharma says? If you ask it’s useful or useless, this question is useless. If you want meaning, the person alive if can think through this problem, can say to live very meaningful. In this exhibition, we split the question into three themes, namely 'who am I', 'how am I different from other people' and 'why I am I'. The works are placed in three areas of the space according to the theme.

'In fact, my profession is evangelism and my sideline is sculpture. Since I knew the Gospel, I started to look at everything that existed around me from a different perspective, so my life totally changed. But I had no other talent than to create, which led me to choose sculpture. So, my work is done with inspiration and energy from my faith. What I hope is that I am more willing to convey the reasons for creation to the audience than the works. With this intention in mind, I will continue to work hard in the future.'

Luo Yung

Independent painter, harmonizer and musician of Erdo Liu (Band), poet. In 2016, she began to release personal singles, trying to present her inner experience with symbolic words, natural melody and poetic painting. Works usually contain some philosophical thinking. Now most of time she calls herself an independent musician.

矮楼空间作为一个艺术空间，每个展览都会探讨一个或一组问题。体验和思考，就是它的关键词。这里也是一支乐队排练的场所，每周三为刘耳朵乐队排练日。因为所有发出声音的作品都会暂停展出，所以观众每周三都可以免票入场。这里甚至还是一个人和一条狗的住所，所以需要至少提前一小时在公众号预约参观。

As an art space, the theme of each exhibition is one or a set of questions. Experience and thinking are the key words. Ailou space is also a band rehearsal place, every Wednesday for the Erdo Liu band rehearsal day. Because all the sound-making works are suspended, admission is free every Wednesday.
