[p]Sino-Austrian Art Exchange (SAAE) is looking for painters to be part of a fully funded residence program in Salzburg.
Must be Chinese natives with English language skills and a strong artistic record.
Must be free of engagements with European galleries.

ABOUT SAAE:
The SAAE project is bound to be a highlight of crosscultural activities and collaborations of contemporary artists from China and Austria/ Salzburg.
With invitations to seven artists from across China the basis for interrelated statements to the alternate cultural background will be conceived through locally created works of art.
Despite the importance of an all-incluisve experience, it is important to reveal the parting lines bewteen the High Culture of Salzburg/ Austria and honestly carried on traditions on the one side and locally typical streams or trash-commerce and pretentious kitsch on the other side.
