前言:
当一个人的观念为他人接受时称为暗示;当一个人的情绪为他人感受时称为同情;当一个人的行动为他人效仿时称为模仿。当然,在现实生活中,无论是思想、感情还是行动都可以产生暗示。在通常情况下,暗示者是主动的、自觉的,而受暗示者则常常是被动的。
我们知道,图像的功能是隐蔽的。在我们与画面的对峙中,我们既是看者,又暗自能察觉到自己是被看者,但图像极大地改变并且模糊了看与被看的关系,它解除了人们的戒心,相应地产生了意识形态已经终结的幻觉。这种看与被看意识上的倒置,同时也来自于“消费”的支持。如果说,80年代中期的“美术新潮运动”是一种对当时的现实生活无奈的接受和认同,那么,近年来的相当一部分作品却是另一种接受和认同。正是权力的不在场,使我们产生了意识形态已经终结的幻象或者幻觉。近年来的绘画鲜见深入对形式的探索和实验。在某种意义上也可以说是我们和现实建立了过于“甜蜜”的关系。正是在这种甜蜜的关系中,我们渐渐放弃了对现实的进一步追问,从而满足于对事物表象的叙述。尖锐的思想和批判性的丧失,也导致了我们丧失提出问题的能力。
“暗示者”是一个非常开放的话题,它蕴含着许多可以延伸并加以讨论的分散话题,其指涉面可以是非常广泛的。如果我们把绘画理解为一种“叙述”,那么在任何一种叙述背后,都隐藏着观念。叙述依托观念组织各种材料,并结构成作品,从而产生意义。只是有的明显,有的深藏不露而已。因此,形式的冲突,常常意味着观念的冲突。绝对终极的真理并不存在,叙事的再现只是率领我们不断向真理逼近。
让我们先从“绘画”这一问题上暂时撤离,经由另一路径进入我们一直讨论的话题。当观念走向极端,尤其是形成了所谓“内部、外部”两个截然对立时,人与其存在语境的所有联系无形中也就被自然切断了。这时候,善与恶的伦理观,在此顽强地阻挡着人对存在的进一步追问。而所谓的“内心叙事”,也开始演化为一种自恋式的倾诉。
而对于“暗示者”来说,个体的复杂性或者说丰富性不再被共通的描绘或者对内心的叙述上。个人不再成为某种知识观念控制下形成的常态,而是开放的、运动的观念与其现实存在的各种意识形态的联系被再次有机的恢复。正是在这种联系中,人的复杂性或者丰富性才可能呈现或者再现。
我们所处的这个世界,已经越来越被专业化的分工割裂成无数个“碎片”。当宏大叙事被个体的经验所取代的时候,“暗示者”却往往有一种重组日常的愿望。很难说这是一种宏大叙事,但却是一种艰难的再现的努力。
此次展览以“暗示者”为主题,邀请以绘画为主要艺术手段的“暗示者”—— 王亚彬、徐弘、朱存伟、曾扬、葛震、魏言,他们分别来自于北京、河南、南京、四川等地,在各自的绘画领域都有深入的探索。中国当代艺术发展到今天,从最初简单复制的拿来主义,用30年时间走西方300年发展之路的野蛮生长,到同时面临着本体文化语言形态与西方美学体系的融合、互生。“暗示者”作为这个时代的“另类绘本”,会给我们这个时代提供什么样的启迪或者可能呢?
“暗示者”群展就是在这样的背景下展开,形式上的探索和实验,哪怕再过于极端,它也预示着有一种力量将再度风生水起。展览将于2011年6月4日在上海市莫干山路95号银石空间隆重开幕,本展览将持续到7月1日。、
