当代艺术作为后极权时代的文化特征正在变为国家资本主义的文化资本和文化战略的新帮凶,同时也将成为新一轮资本主义经济扩张的开路先锋。当代艺术在冲突,分裂和不稳定的状态之中,作为另一种意识形态,争取在广泛的公共领域之内,创造民主的生存法则。
今天,在个体生命承受着来自外部物质毁灭和内部精神解体的双重威胁和压力下,关注自身的生存进而附会一种安慰式的观念踌躇于不同的角色之间,形成对任何事情都不负责任的社会情形,全球地缘的差异、意识形态的扭曲已将个体生命推向焦灼的此时此刻,我们已经忘却了躯体内温暖意志的存在,它可以帮助我们辨清现实的危机,不致于因困惑绝望而放弃。
在此,我们倡导艺术以微介入方式全面干预现实生活,以分享主义作为关系美学原则组织一个艺术品创造者、拥有者与大众产生共鸣的民主平台, 努力打破艺术品不仅仅是奢侈、贵族化的财富资本。使艺术品消费作为一段被经历过的时间而显现,同时也是一个无限讨论的开端而被珍藏在物理空间和我们记忆的深处。
我们试探性的以艺术本体为媒介导向,向艺术家发起方案征集邀请,寻找适宜多数量广泛传播的作品方案,以此重述艺术品社会功能的重要性和重新解读艺术消费的现实意义。
Contemporary art, as a cultural characteristic of the post-totalitarian era, has become the accomplice for state capitalism’s cultural and strategic capital, meanwhile, it is also the herald for a new wave of capitalist economic expansion. As the other ideology in a context of conflict, contradiction and instability, it aims to establish democratic rules of survival in a wide public.
Today, as the individual suffers from double threat and pressures of the external material destruction and one’s internal spiritual disintegration, the concerns on one’s survival have been infused with various comforting concepts to different roles led to an overall social ideology of irresponsibility. Regional differences on a global scale, its distorted ideologies have pushed the individual to a state of anxiety. We have already forgotten the warmth in our bodies, a key that used to allow us to identify the actual crisis, rather than abandoning it in despair.
Thus, we encourage art to intervene life with mild interventions, and by using relational aesthetics as a principle to create a democratic platform for art creators, owners to resonate with the general public, aiming at subverting the reality of artworks being the capital of wealth, luxury and the elites. Allowing artwork consumption to be revealed as a period of experimentation, as well as a beginning for endless discussions that will be stored in physical spaces and at the bottom of our memories.
We are exploring art as a medium, and call for proposals from artists, on artworks that are suitable to be disseminated widely, and thereafter to redefine the social functions of artworks and its importance, and re-interpret actual significance of art consumption.

In 2006, Evelyne Jouanno curated a biennale in Cherchnia entitled Emergency. The requirement for the artworks participating in the exhibition was to be small in volume, because they could only be shipped via medical containers of international Red Cross.

For an insomniac, every slightest sound becomes extremely clear and sensitive to the ear at night.
The therapeutic sound of waves is already ineffective, I try to imitate the sound of ocean waves with soft touches on the duvet and my own breathing, these low frequencies sounds are effective for the time being, but soon would also be idle. I then realized the hypnotic music to fall asleep is an endless process, or is it a rhetorical question. How should I pacify these anxieties and restlessness?

作品自恋的枪源于自我意识潜在的暴力倾向这一原型,深究其产生的根源—自我意识萌动之初它已潜移默化地携带了集体无意识的影响。如果我们沿着这条线索追踪会发现,人类莫名的暴力倾向。随着人的生理,心理成长已经深深地内化到自己的身体里了。在合适的条件下这一暴力倾向将会释放出来。这就是个体的暴力和集体的偏执,专横导致的破坏。
每个人在童年或多或少对枪的迷恋进而有自己动手制作出来的愿望,或干脆制作出来.。“愿望”和“制作出来的枪”就是我们潜在的暴力身不由己的外在化表现。透过枪拖上的镜子,我们抵达和正视我们内心深处的过去,现在,未来所潜藏的这一危险。
The work Narcissistic Gun is inspired by an inclination towards violence in my subconscious, and source for germination might have been the influence of the collective unconsciousness coupled with my initial self-awareness. If we follow this thread we would discover that the indescribable human tendency for violence has been deeply internalized in our bodies as our body and mind mature. Under agreeable conditions, the tendency reveals itself – an individual violence, collective bias, and destruction caused by peremptory.
In almost everyone’s childhood, the urge and fascination of making a gun by hand, in other words, the “wish” and the “final product” of the handmade gun is the uncontrollable manifestation of violence in our subconscious. Through the mirror pedestal, we can gain perspective on the past, present and future of this embedded danger at the bottom of our hearts.

把国外在华加工的玩具母狮手工粘松狮犬毛变为雄狮。数量N只。
狮子粘狗毛是对极权的戏耍;母狮变雄狮也是调侃。粘毛过程象征着我们自己在帮助狮子(极权)变得越来越雄壮?松狮毛质和狮子接近,虽原产中国但是按西方标准培育的与原生态大相径庭,形象深入人心以至很多国人认为原生态是串种,名称是中国松狮标准是西方订的,这现象很有趣。

To glue dog hair onto lions banters on totalitarianism, and so is a lioness becoming a lion. The process of gluing hair symbolizes our assistance to the lion (totalitarianism) in becoming more powerful. Chow Chow’s hair texture resemble that of a lion, though its origin traces to China, however, as they are reared in the West. Its appearance is liked by many Chinese, and is often considered as a mix-breed, yet commonly known in the west as Chinese Chow Chow. The phenomenon itself is quite interesting.

Kongkong has a human body, a child’s face, masculine, a flat head with eyes as tiny as peas and a big mouth. He has three horns on the head, one body but many shapes. It could change in seven colours, could change body shapes (even sex), could practice samsara in ancient and modern times. But Kongkong is not a strange animal or spirit in ancient myth nor an animated cartoon toy in the popular culture, it is only an art “image” created by Xiong Wenyun.
