伦敦的Gogasian画廊将从2010年2月11日推出一场名叫“撞车”（"Crash”）的集体展，这个名字取自著名小说家巴拉尔德（J.G. Ballard）的代表作。

 

巴拉尔德的小说是二十世纪最有预见性和争议性的文学作品，经常涉及到作者对于西方文化的大胆预测，以及对于人类心理中病态的一面的解读。巴拉尔德在去年四月去世，这次的展览是为了在纪念他作品的巨大影响力和持续的文化含义。“撞车”展特别强调了巴拉德尔对超现实主义的热衷以及他生前对支持同时代艺术家做作出的贡献。展览除了展出了他本人的作品外，还展出了一些当代艺术家从他的视点中汲取灵感所创作出艺术作品。

 

在1956年的时候，巴拉尔德发表了他第一则短篇小说《Prima Belladonna》，同一年，Whitechapel画廊举办了“这就是明天”（"This is Tomorrow”）的集体展，这标志着波普艺术在英国的诞生。就在那里，在达利、保罗·德尔沃这些超现实主义艺术家的画作中，巴拉尔德找到了被他日后称为“当代的小说”的灵感。他作品中对于当代和未来的反乌托邦描写，对于荒凉、人造的土地和自然的呈现，以及对于社会和科技发展对人类心理产生的影响的刻画，可以从其它许多作家、导演和视觉艺术家们的作品中找到回响。这次的“撞车”展集合了和巴拉尔德的小说世界相似相通的艺术作品，从与他同时代的艺术家，比如安迪·沃霍尔（Andy Warhol）、埃德·鲁沙（Ed Ruscha）、理查德·汉密尔顿（Richard Hamilton）、赫尔姆·纽顿（Helmut Newton），到较为年轻艺术家，比如Tacita Dean、Jenny Saville、Glenn Brown、Mike Nelson。
