展览将自己构思为是处于两个事件之间：前比利时首相兼比利时基督教社会党（简称PSC-CVP party）的领导人Paul Vanden Boeyants的一次新闻发布会（在其中他描绘了自己在1989年被冒充的极端主义政治集团绑架的特殊情况）与前CIA负责人Tom Braden在接受《The Independent》采访时所发表的一些评论（在其中他揭示了一个被称为“the Long Leash”的秘密文化宣传计划的存在，该计划在冷战时期实施，是一种在文化上侵占前苏联并且曝光其无法创作“高端”艺术的无能的策略）。
产生自这两个事件的荒谬的色彩给这场展览带来了活力。Tom Braden称得上是典型的CIA阴谋的叙述变得深奥而且不合理；而Paul Vanden Boeyants用电视播放的独白则将一种个人经历转变成了一次离奇的事件。这场展览的展出作品便采用了一种荒唐的现实的框架，同时具备真相和显而易见的模糊。实际上，每件作品都变成了谜题本身。记录了Paul Vanden Boeyants的新闻发布会的原始视频文件与Tom Braden那篇专访的印本则一起在展览中展示了出来。
