星空间举办的“世界尽头与冷酷仙境”陈可个展是艺术家近两年来对生命和艺术感悟的总结。对人物内心的探索是陈可作品一以贯之的主线，此次艺术家凭借自身对终极命题的追问与思索，以图象的形式构筑了通往另一个世界的想象。全部作品采用圆的形制，既是对时间的呼应，同时又与画面上班驳的肌理感及对古典技法的借鉴暗合，赋予绘画一种凝固了的永恒性。在中国社会信仰缺失、各种急功近利的当下，陈可期望通过艺术完成自我救赎。艺术将发挥其精神性，帮助人类度过危机，成为心灵的安慰剂。

Star Gallery is very pleased to present the upcoming solo exhibition by Chen Ke -- Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, which is a summary of the artist’s contemplation about life and art during recent two years. Exploring personal experiences and feelings has been a consistent theme in Chen Ke’s art, and this time, the artist tries to create an imaginary world through her paintings searching for an answer to the Ultimate Question. All of the works shown are in round shape, which can be considered as an echo of time, as well as a special textural effect and Chen Ke’s study of classic painting techniques, to create a permanent feeling. At a moment when religion is lost and profit-generating thinking is widespread in China society, Chen Ke expects to realize a self-redemption through her art. In her belief, art can bring out its spiritual power, to help people fight against crisis, and become a placebo for heart.
