“其他的因素”国际当代艺术展——其他画廊开馆展

暨2009首届北京798双年展闭幕酒会

 
 

其他画廊将于2009年9月18日在北京798艺术区举行其他画廊开馆展，推出由朱其策划的“其他的因素”国际当代艺术展。 

“其他的因素”国际当代艺术展：新艺术总是要引进艺术史之外其他的因素，艺术才会有伟大的创造。中国的当代艺术正处在一个转折时期，在国际化的视野下，再续传统的语言精神，吸收时代的社会精神。刚刚结束的2009年首届北京798双年展，中国成为国际新艺术潮流的发源地重新成为可能。 

中国的新艺术：“其他的因素”展示的语言风格，反映了当代艺术试图超越过去二十年观念艺术、抽象几何以及波普艺术的形式，寻求有机图像及其灵性的语言。来自拉丁美洲以及德国等地的新艺术从多元文化的背景取向于有机图像的反观念特征，而中国的新艺术也开始重新挖掘自然灵性及其有机的形式传统。 

中外艺术家都在寻求语言之外的其他的因素，以此促进新艺术的语言。“其他的因素”其他画廊以此为主题，与参加MOMA、古根海姆和威尼斯双年展等国际展览的国外艺术家和中国新艺术方向的艺术家的作品作为第一个开馆展，将展示这家年轻画廊的方向及其国际追求。

“Other Factors” International Contemporary Art Exhibition—Opening Exhibition of Other Gallery
and the Closing Party of the First Beijing 798 Biennale, 2009 

 Other Gallery will host an open exhibition in 798 Art Zone, Beijing, on 18[sup]th[/sup], September, 2009, introducing an international contemporary art exhibition "Other Factors"curated by Zhu Qi.  

"Other Factors" International Contemporary Art Exhibition：It is by introducing “other factors” that new forms of art can be created. Chinese contemporary art is at a turning point at this moment. It now seeks to revive traditional modes of expression and at the same time absorb the social spirit of the time. The 1[sup]st [/sup]Beijing 798 Biennale has just passed; it enabled the possibility for China to become the cradle of an international new art trend. 

China's new art: The language mode used by "Other Factors" is a reflection of the process in transcending conceptual art, geometric abstraction, and pop art in the past two decades; it seeks for images that are more organic and artistic languages that are more flexible. New art from Latin America, Germany and other places tend to draw from the counter-conceptual features of organic images in a multi-cultural backdrop, while new art in China started to dig from natural inspirations and its organic traditional form. 

Both Chinese artists and foreign artists are seeking "other factors" to promote the language of new kinds of art. "Other Factors" is the inaugural exhibition at the Other Gallery. It collects works that have exhibited internationally from places such as MOMA, Guggenheim and the Venice Biennale. The Other Gallery will exhibit both international artists and artists from china who are interesting in fostering new forms of art..
