海伦·马腾（Helen Marten）个展“桉树，让我们进去”（Eucalyptus, Let us in）日前在纽约Greene Naftali画廊举行。以下文字节选自艺术家为展览撰写的新闻稿。

当考古学家带着发现值得纪念的碎片的希望去挖掘时，他们力求使潜在的抽象回归具象。骨头、建筑、杯子和勺子都被带进了一种新的解读中。被收集然后以拼贴年代表的形式表现出来，对现实生活细枝末节的收集的热情将这些发现从埋葬物里过滤出来，使它们回到日常语言之中。曾经被泥土和树叶掩盖了的经过了发掘的区域变成了被标识了的场址，变成了带有当代魅力的地方。

那些古老的活动的被擦除了的痕迹重新得到了重视：矢量网格象征性地将意义或立场分配给了动物和人类。一种可靠的地质学概要提供了重力需要的劳动之谜——使建筑物竖立起来的触觉上的投入。笔迹、数字和词语进入到了崭新的形式逻辑中。这样的发现也许是强烈或者脆弱的，它几乎已经被一种幻觉般的轮廓围绕了起来，而这同时也是各种符号和转化过程的痕迹。
