Originally from Jilin Province and now living in Beijing, Zhang Teimei's works play with shifting concepts of Chinese identity, creating delicate traditional ink drawings and landscapes rendered using the characters of Chinese surnames. The images reflect a contemporary pop culture in China, where beneath all the popular daily life objects, runs a deep rooted Chinese traditional culture.

Running concurrently is a how by Spanish artist Martin Burguillo. His work appropriates often-overlooked or disposable objects of 21st century daily life and renders them in bright and bold rhythm across the canvasses. Paper shopping bags, coffee cups, branded soda bottles and impossibly perfect fruit, glowing with life and color, and playfully depicted in hyper-realistic hues. Burguillo has previously shown in Hong Kong, Seoul, Madrid, Barcelona, Italy and California.
