IAIN BAXTER&与Adam Chodzko形成了一个有趣的组合。他们在Raven Row的联展,两位艺术家都被允许使用了该空间向来不对公众开放的区域;他们都曾有过在非常规地点建造装置的经验。我们闯入了私人的空间,期待各种各样的遭遇。

这两位艺术家的个人作品形态,分别起源于20世纪50年代和90年代,却都形成了一种以相互遭遇(encountering)、再脉络化(recontextualising)和记录为基础的构建形式。他们的作品都通过操纵日常生活的经验和电子商务、市场营销、一级市场和消费的语言,逃脱了封闭的艺术世界内部参考系统。

有趣、热情,而且似乎总是领先一步,BAXTER&和Chodzko各自不断地重塑着艺术家的定义。这场展览展示了当观念艺术打破局限,走进真实世界,能做到什么。
