上海艺术家陈航峰为上海外滩美术馆成立后的第一个圣诞节特别打造了“圣诞艺术计划”。
由各种商业品牌标志变形而成的银色雪花图案贴满了美术馆接待大厅的白墙上，两个Disco镜面球被悬挂在大厅中，艺术家将作品命名为《飞舞的欲望》并以这种方式讽刺在消费主义时代中，已脱离传统政治经济学中对物品的需求和满足，人们消费不再只是为了实际的需求，而是为了满足被刺激制造出来的欲望。
前台的大屏幕之一正在播放陈航峰的录像作品《圣诞老人的小帮手》，九分多钟的影像拍摄于浙江某村庄，在这个村庄中，家家户户都已变成制作圣诞装饰品的手工作坊，产品出口到西方国家以满足那里庞大的圣诞消费需求。村民们常年被包围在节日气氛和美轮美奂的饰品中，然而“圣诞产业”在给村民带来经济利益的同时，不可避免的环境污染却给小村庄带来永久性的伤害。艺术家选择了这一传统的西方宗教节日作为切入点，企图证明世界产业链底层的“中国制造”只会给我们带来短期及有限的利益，而人们膨胀的物质欲望和日益恶化的生态环境将是永远无法弥补的缺陷。

Shanghai based artist Chen Hangfeng has made a site-specific work entitled "Christmas Project" for the first Christmas holiday after the launch of Rockbund Art Museum.
The walls of the Rockbund's reception area have been invaded by flurries of silver snow-flakes lit by two spinning disco balls. Each individual snowflake is composed of brand logos which speak as a metaphor in this age of consumerism. The artist explores how human desires have gone far beyond the demand for goods in the traditional political economy: people consume acting on manufactured desires, instead of practical needs.
The video piece "Santa's Little Helpers" which is playing on the screen behind the reception desk was shot in a village in Zhejiang province. The 9-minute video shows how peasant homes have been turned into workshops producing christmas ornaments -- products which are exported to the West to meet the enormous Christmas shopping demand. The villagers are surrounded by these beautiful holiday ornaments all year around, and "this christmas industry" brings tangible economic gains to the workers. But at the same time, this industry has brought permanent environmental damage to this little village. The artist uses this traditional Western holiday as an entry point to explore the idea of "Made in China." China is still close to the bottom of the industrial food chain -- and only derives short term benefits which cannot outweigh the inherent "costs" of these ever expanding material desires and the resulting environmental degradation.
