展览前言：

李向明的抽象油画具有明显的风格特征和人文内涵，其作品不是在纯形式的意义上探索抽象语言，而是通过来自生存现实的个人体验和对文化的思考中构筑抽象的个人话语，尝试在抽象语系中发掘一种更具有本土化特征的艺术语言。本次展览上展出的均为他近两年的新作。在《积墨情怀》、《红墙纪事》、《回望乡村》等一系列作品中，形式语言更简约，更注重材料之间的差异感和平面间的厚重感与空间感。

　　与西方的纯抽象有所不同的是，李向明的作品在形式语言的背后蕴含着他对文化和社会以及现实的深层思考。
