OPENING PARTY SEPTEMBER 12,  5 - 9pm

So......You have been to maybe 50 openings this wonderful art week in Shanghai...erh...yawn (sleep, soon, please!)... and it is almostdone!!... but we have saved the best for last! Wang Qing is an artistthat a lot of people are talking about, a secret to some, known tomany, and undeniably some of the most original works of the season. Asusual, ART LABOR will have a VERY happening party to celebrate thelaunch of this new body of work, paintings that encompass almost toomuch to slide into a few paragraphs. In short though these works areeccentric, dense, complexly layered, simply executed and certainlycaptivating and universal in their appeal.

Wang Qing moved back to his hometown of Shanghai after 19 years of a verysuccessful career in Tokyo, Japan, acquiring his PhD fromTokyo ArtsUniversity. This is his second solo show at ART LABOR Gallery.

ARTLABOR is the gallery you all know and love - and that love is mutual!This will likely be our last show in this space as we have plans tomove to a larger location soon, so please come help tear the walls downwith lots of drinks, some music from DJs and as usual some interestingart!


这是热闹非凡的艺术周，嗯……可能你已经参加了五十多个展览，但我们坚信最好的总是留到最后！这是王青在ARTLABOR画廊的第二次个展，在日本生活了十九年的王青，即便在日本艺术界获得肯定和成功，即便头顶东京艺术大学美术博士光环，三年前他毅然决定回到故乡，并以此作为自己艺术生涯的转折点，创作全新“混搭”绘画作品，都市风景被有机地编织在画面中。他的画作即是一幅现代社会生态图，种种细枝末节，直白却耐人寻味。
    作为ART LABOR画廊迁址前的最后一次展览，我们热切期待您的到来，和我们共同享受艺术、音乐和美酒的盛宴！
